Stop spending time rearranging windows.

Rearranging after every launch
You manually move the same apps to the same places every time you start your Mac.
Layouts break across displays
Your window layout falls apart whenever you connect or disconnect a display.
Windows completely overlap
Multiple windows from the same app overlap, making the one you need hard to reach.
Switching between workflows
You want to restore a workspace for work, development, or another context instantly.
Built for Mac users who run several apps, use external displays, switch between home and office setups, or return to the same window layout every day.
Features

Save the layout. Restore it when you need it.

Profiles
Create multiple layout profiles for different contexts, such as Work, Development, Home, and Office. Each profile stores its apps, displays, positions, and sizes.

Save a layout from a window
Choose Select Window in Settings, then click an open window. AppAnchor saves its app, display, position, and size to the profile.
Restore by app
Layouts are managed by app rather than by fragile window identifiers. When a registered app has multiple windows, AppAnchor places all of them within the saved region.
Cascade windows
Multiple windows from the same app are cascaded with small offsets inside the saved region, so none is completely hidden and the window you need stays easy to select.
Manual restore
Choose a profile from the menu bar and restore its layout whenever you need it.
Automatic updates
Check for updates from within the app. Updates are verified with Developer ID signing, Apple notarization, and a Sparkle EdDSA signature.
Automation

Restore automatically at the right time.

In addition to manual restore, AppAnchor can automatically apply a selected profile at these times.

Restore at login
Automatically apply a selected profile when you log in to your Mac.
Restore after display changes
Detect when an external display is connected or disconnected and apply a selected profile.
Per-app automation
Choose whether each registered app participates in automatic restore.
AppAnchor does not force a layout every time an app opens a new window.
How it works

Set up a repeatable workspace in 7 steps.

1
Launch AppAnchor
2
Grant macOS Accessibility permission
3
Create a profile
4
Choose Select Window
5
Click the window to save
6
Save the window position and size to the profile
7
Restore the layout from the menu bar when needed
Multiple display support

Remember which display each window belongs on.

The target display is stored with each layout. If that display is unavailable, AppAnchor places the window on the current main display.

AppAnchor does not move windows to a specified macOS Space. It works with windows in the currently visible Space.

Why Accessibility permission is required
AppAnchor uses macOS Accessibility permission to read, move, and resize windows. Saving and restoring layouts is unavailable without this permission.

Data sent externally
When activating or validating a license, AppAnchor sends the license key, your Mac display name, and the license instance ID to Lemon Squeezy over HTTPS.
